For ease of construction, cotton canvas (easiest to work with), thinner vinyl/faux leather or lightweight waterproof canvas for the exterior with fleece stabilizer are recommended. Fleece makes a soft, squishy pouch with light padding. Foam makes a soft, structured pouch with extra cushioning.
Exterior (cotton canvas, faux leather, vinyl, or waterproof canvas):
Minimum of 10” W x 12” H (Mini Slim and Mini Standard) up to 17” W x 12” H (Longline)
(3-4 different sizes can fit on 1/3 yard x 54" WOF)
Minimum of 10” W x 12” H (Mini Slim and Mini Standard) up to 16” W x 12” H (Midi XL Standard)

Interfacing/Stabilizer
Woven Interfacing (ie. SF101):
Requirements include interfacing for the cotton woven lining, cotton canvas exterior (if applicable) and enclosing the stabilizer.

The Nevara Pouch is categorized as an intermediate bag pattern. This pattern was written for a cotton canvas, vinyl, faux leather, or waterproof canvas exterior. However, fabric choice will influence the difficulty of constructing the pouch. In particular the bottom curves will be more difficult with stiffer and/or thicker material. For ease of construction, cotton canvas (easiest to work with), thinner vinyl/faux leather or lightweight waterproof canvas for the exterior with fleece stabilizer are recommended. The bottom curves of the Mini Standard, Midi XL Standard or Longline will be easier to construct and navigate around your sewing machine due to the increased depth of the pouch. The pouch is finished with binding. There is a full video sew along included with the pattern for visual learners and those who prefer a little more detail about sewing bags.
** This bag can be sewn on any sewing machine that is capable of sewing vinyl. Fabric/Vinyl choices will influence the difficulty of sewing. **
